With each new year brings a new wave of optimism and that was certainly the case back in the summer when we made our five bold predictions for the Vegas Golden Knights in 2019-20.

Having constructed a roster featuring a stellar core of players, I was confident that 2019-20 was going to be a revenge tour for the Vegas Golden Knights following a heartbreaking and disappointing First Round exit in the playoffs to the San Jose Sharks last year.

So, as a result, I decided to put my neck on the chopping block and make five bold predictions for the 2019-20 regular season.

You can revisit those predictions below:

Now, my criteria when putting together these predictions were simple; make them realistic and achievable but also put predictions out there that were more than the obvious projections.

Of course, it is impossible to predict exactly what will happen throughout the course of an 82-game regular season schedule, especially considering how crazy this great sports of ours is.

But making crazy predictions and putting our reputations on the line is part of the job and, after all, most of my projections back in the summer seemed feasible given how elite this team looked on paper.

It has been fun and somewhat enlightening going back through my predictions from a few months ago, with some of my projections summing up how frustrating this year has been for the Golden Knights so far.

So, on that note, let’s go back over my 5 Bold Predictions for 2019-20 and see how silly I now look…
