Happy Thanksgiving everyone! It is a day to be thankful and we are incredibly thankful to be covering the Vegas Golden Knights.
After snapping a three-game losing streak in impressive fashion against the Nashville Predators last night, the Vegas Golden Knights can enjoy their Thanksgiving dinner today.
And, that got us thinking, which players would we want around our table today?
I mean, there are a plethora of characters in that Vegas locker room and, quite frankly, we would be spoilt for choice.
But, at the end of the day, there is only so much turkey to go around so we’ve picked a few members of the Vegas Golden Knights that we would invite round on Thanksgiving…
Marc-Andre Fleury
This is an easy one. The future Hall of Famer is the life and soul of the party in that Vegas Golden Knights locker room, and he could provide the entertainment at the table.
He would automatically create a party atmosphere and, plus, who better to distract from your political-spouting uncle than Fleury with his never-ending supply of pranks and jokes?
Deryk Engelland
The veteran defenseman is a man of the people and he’s an extremely likable character. He is just the sort of person you would want at your Thanksgiving table.
I also imagine Engelland would be perfect to have a beer with while watching some Thanksgiving football, and he would certainly have some stories to tell from his long career.
William Karlsson
Speedy, smooth hands and boasting the ability to finish, William Karlsson would be the perfect player to put in the kitchen and ensure that the food gets delivered safely to the table.
He knows how to put the puck in the net so he would be ideal when it comes to throwing a turkey leg or a biscuit down the table if you can’t reach.
Plus, Karlsson has the looks too so he could distract that annoying aunt when you are trying to watch the football later on in the afternoon.
Ryan Reaves
With his big frame, could you wish for anymore more perfect than Ryan Reaves to carve the turkey?!
He is a character guy who could keep the jokes and the conversation flowing throughout dinner, plus we would pay good money to watch Reaves scrap with that crazy old uncle who won’t shut up about politics.
And, let’s not forget, Reaves brews his own beer so there would be an added advantage to inviting the enforcer over for Thanksgiving – we would be watered as well as fed!
That’s who we would invite round for Thanksgiving – what players from the Vegas Golden Knights would you have at your Thanksgiving table?
