3. Fleury Steals The Show Again

We are beginning to run out of superlatives for Marc-Andre Fleury.

The three-time Stanley Cup champion and future Hall of Famer has been sensational through his nine games and eight starts, carving out a record of 6-2-0 with a 2.18 Goals Against Average and a .934 Save Percentage.

Fleury has made a plethora of highlight-reel saves already this year and he’s stood on his head in a number of games, most notably against the Calgary Flames and the Ottawa Senators.

However, Fleury arguably had his best game of the 2019-20 NHL regular season last night against his old team in the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Making his fifth consecutive start, the 34-year-old was locked in from the start and absolutely stood on his head for his team.

He made some breathtaking saves, including an outstanding pad save to rob former teammate Patric Hornqvist and a stunning shoulder stop to divert Zach Aston-Reese‘s shot onto the crossbar.

Fleury stopped all 29 of the shots fired at him for his first shutout of the year and, in the process, he tied Terry Sawchuk for 7th all-time in wins (445), and he also tied Clint Benedict for 20th all-time in shutouts (58).

All against his former team at his old stomping ground, too.

What a night for Marc-Andre Fleury.
