We’re two weeks into the 2019-20 NHL regular season so it seems right that we take a look at how some of the Vegas Golden Knights prospects are getting on.

It has been a big year for players in the Vegas Golden Knights farm system so far with both Cody Glass and Nic Hague having made their NHL debuts, while defenseman Jake Bischoff is also currently on the active roster.

But there are a host of other prospects currently playing all over the place and we are going to update you on the progress of a handful.

Kaedan Korczak – Currently in the WHL with the Kelowna Rockets, Korczak has enjoyed a solid start to the year.

Through 10 games, the stay-at-home defenseman has two goals and five assists for seven points with a plus/minus rating of +1.

Korczak was the No. 41 overall pick by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, and it shouldn’t be too long before he’s ready to make the transition to the AHL with the Chicago Wolves.

Mason Primeau – The 141st overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Knights has posted six points (four goals, two assists) in nine games with 8 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of -7 for the North Bay Battalion in the OHL.

Primeau is wearing an “A” on his jersey this year and it is a big year ahead for the rookie in terms of learning his craft and accelerating his development.

Jack Dugan – The right wing, who was selected No. 142 overall by Vegas in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, is currently playing for Providence College in the NCAA.

And, in just two games, the forward has thrived with two goals and four assists for six points with 14 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of +3.

Pavel Dorofeyev – Let’s switch over to Russia now where Dorofeyev has split time between the KHL and the MHL so far this year.

In three games with Stalnye Lisy Magnitogorsk in the MHL, Dorofeyev potted a goal and tallied an assist for two points and a plus/minus rating of -1 in three games.

And, in 17 games in the KHL with Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Dorofeyev posted six points (four goals, two assists) in 17 games with a plus/minus rating of +4.

Ivan D. Morozov – Sticking in Russia, Morozov has split his time with SKA-Neva St. Petersburg in the VHL and SKA-1946 St. Petersburg in the MHL.

The 61st overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has tallied three points for both teams in Russia, while he has also recorded one goal and three assists for four points in three games for Russia U20s.

Chicago Wolves

There are a glut of prospects plying their trade for the Chicago Wolves in the AHL this year, obviously, and there has been a mixed bag of performances.

Lucas Elvenes leads all prospects in points on the Wolves with five (two goals, three assists) while Dylan Coghlan, who was on the cusp of winning a roster spot for the Golden Knights following a hugely impressive Training Camp, has two points (two assists) in three games.

Next. Why Buffalo Sabres are the perfect trade partners. dark

Jimmy Schuldt has a plus/minus rating of -1 in two games and center Reid Duke has been held without a point in three games.

That’s it for your Prospects Report and we will be back with another edition within the next few weeks.
