1. Quick out of the traps

In the opening two games of the 2019-20 NHL Regular Season, the Vegas Golden Knights scored three goals in the opening 10 minutes against the San Jose Sharks, setting the tone for the rest of the game and giving themselves a platform on which to build from during the rest of the game.

It is crucial the Knights fly out of the traps ready to play against the Boston Bruins, especially when you consider that they have lost all three games in which the B’s have scored first and they have been outscored 3-1 in the first period.

That will have to change tonight if the Golden Knights are going to come out on top against an elite team and improve to 3-0-0 in 2019-20.

So much of Vegas’ success in the opening two games was based on how they came out full throttle, getting in the faces of the Sharks and not allowing their opposition any chance to settle or get a foothold on the game.

Given that they are at home, the Knights can really get an already raucous and energetic crowd into the game by stepping on the gas early and putting their foot firmly on the throat of the Bruins.

And, perhaps most importantly, given that both teams have red-hot goalies starting tonight in Marc-Andre Fleury for Vegas and Tuukka Rask for Boston, getting the first goal will be imperative given that high-danger chances might be hard to come by.
