The Forwards

So, as already mentioned, if we are to believe various forums out there, Mark Stone will have a rating of 88 OVR on NHL 20, which should make him not only the highest ranked forward on the Vegas Golden Knights, but also the highest rated player on the team alongside goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, who is also believed to have been given a 88 OVR rating.

The same forum also suggests that William Karlsson will be 85 OVR and Jonathan Marchessault will boast a 86 OVR rating, so where does that leave the rest of the forwards?

Using Karlsson and Marchessault as a guide, it is fair to suggest that the likes of Reilly Smith, Paul Stastny, Max Pacioretty and Alex Tuch will probably be somewhere in the 85-83 region, while the latter certainly deserves a bump in his rating given that he tallied 52 points in 2018-19.

As for the rest of the forward unit, it would be a safe bet to assume that the majority of the bottom six will all fall in the 70’s, although Cody Eakin did put up career-highs in goals (22) and points (41) last year, which could see him jump from a 79 rating in NHL 19 to a rating of 80 OVR in this year’s edition.

Of course, as we’ve seen in Madden 20, the ratings for players may well be more thought out this year but, taking into account the ratings from NHL 19 and their performances throughout 2018-19, we’ve tried to guess the NHL 20 ratings for each forward, including a couple of prospects.

Mark Stone – 88 OVR

Jonathan Marchessault – 86 OVR

Max Pacioretty – 86 OVR

William Karlsson – 85 OVR

Paul Stastny – 85 OVR

Reilly Smith – 85 OVR

Alex Tuch – 84 OVR

Cody Eakin – 80 OVR

Ryan Reaves – 78 OVR

Tomas Nosek77 OVR

Brandon Pirri77 OVR

William Carrier76 OVR

Valentin Zykov72 OVR

Cody Glass – 71 OVR

Peyton Krebs – 68 OVR

Now let’s move on to the defensemen…
