Why The Grade

Oscar Lindberg was a solid performer during a small body of work for the Knights in 2018-19, producing the type of production you would expect from a fourth-line pivot.

His 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 35 games surpassed the total amount of points he recorded in 63 contests the year before, and that isn’t even including the eight points he put up for Ottawa after the Trade Deadline.

In regards to his play in the defensive zone, Lindberg was also solid and he could be relied upon in the faceoff circle judging by his 46.9 winning percentage at even strength.

With small roles on both the power play and the penalty kill, Lindberg logged on average 12:03 minutes of ice time per night with a plus/minus rating of +3.

In truth, Lindberg isn’t a high-end offensive juggernaut who will put up a ton of points, he isn’t a player who will win a lot of headlines but he grinds and is a smart two-way center with playmaking abilities and a good shot.

He should be in the prime of his career right now and would be a good pickup for a team looking to add some depth to their roster.
