The Vegas Golden Knights have brought smiles to people’s faces with their play on the ice, and now they will bring a smile to the face of someone special off the ice.

Doron Coldwell, a 13-year-old boy from Las Vegas who is battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, was treated to a day to remember by the Vegas Golden Knights as part of ESPN’s new “My Wish” series.

The special and hugely emotional feature will debut on Wednesday, July 17, on SportsCenter and will also be available on ESPN.com.

Doron got to spend a day with the Golden Knights and even got the unbelievable opportunity to follow in the footsteps of his hero, Marc-Andre Fleury by going in net.

Golden Knights players Reilly Smith, Cody Eakin, Deryk Engelland and Max Pacioretty were also in attendance to help make it a day that Doron will never forget.

Doron was given the All-Star treatment during his day with the team, a day which included his own billboards on the famous Vegas strip, his very own Golden Knights jersey and a chance to interact with his heroes in the locker room.

The clip itself was pretty cool to watch and you can see for yourself below a snippet of the experience Doron was treated to:

You have to applaud both ESPN and the Vegas Golden Knights for putting this feel-good story in place and giving Doron a day he truly deserved.

It was neat to see Doron in full Golden Knights gear and get the chance to play with his heroes on the ice, and we can’t wait to see the full feature!

The award-winning EPSN “My Wish” series is now in its 14th season and this year stars from the NHL, NFL, MLB and the WWE will help to make dreams come true.

Since its beginning in 2006, ESPN has partnered with Make-A-Wish to fulfill 68 sports-themed wishes for children with critical illnesses.

As well as the Vegas Golden Knights, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and Nolan Arenado of the Colorado Rockies will be just some of the stars helping to make dreams come true.

Vegas fans wanting to watch this feature can do so later today or, alternatively, all five episodes of season 14 will re-air multiple times in various editions of SportsCenter this week and will also be available on ESPN.com. In addition, a one-hour “My Wish” special will air Sunday, Aug. 11, at 2 pm ET / 1 pm PT on ABC and will include all of the 2019 “My Wish” Series wishes.

We can’t wait to tune in and watch Doron Coldwell’s magical day with the Vegas Golden Knights and we’re sure it will be a real tear-jerker.
