After an unlucky and underachieving performance in game 1 the Golden Knights have won three games in a row against the Sharks and look to end the series tonight in San Jose.

The Golden Knights, if they can avoid face deflections for goals, can finish the series tonight at the SAP Center in San Jose. The game will be televised on NBCSports and has a 7pm Pacific start time.

Best Players

The story so far has been the Pacioretty-Stone-Stastny line who have combined for 28 points through the first four games of the series.

That line isn’t all offense either. Mark Stone was nominated for Selke award for best defensive forward. If he were to win it, he’d be the first winger to win since it 2003.

Fleury

After ending the season with an injury and playing only well enough in games two and three Marc-Andre Fleury showed Knights fans why he’s a hall of famer and still one of the elite goaltenders in the league.

Game 4 saw Fleury record his 15th NHL playoff shutout behind 28 saves. The Golden Knights have spent the last few games riding on their offense. Fleury getting hot is important to not only to close out this series but to cool off the next likely opponent, the Colorado Avalanche who will be coming in battle tested.

San Jose Discomfort

The San Jose Sharks and their fans have begun to play and assume the role of the losing team. It has been a hard road being a Sharks fan and player over the course of their existence.

Today might reinforce the melancholy fact that the Sharks are a great regular season team but in the playoffs disappointment is the norm.

Joe Thornton’s return from a one game suspension is good news for Sharks fans. His hit on Tomas Nosek deserved a suspension but even as a fan of the Golden Knights I’m glad to see him back.

Martin Jones has been the weak link. It’s been confirmed he will start game 5 but no one is sure that he’ll be there at the end.

The Golden Knights have had a lot of success against Jones. He will need to step up and forget his history with the Golden Knights if he wants to give his team any chance at extending the series.
