The Vegas Golden Knights Twitter account has become a popular follow for NHL fans on Twitter.

The team has been taking shots at other teams around the league and have been pretty good at doing it. They’ve roasted the Los Angeles Kings on multiple occasions and have also fired insults at the Vancouver Canucks and Colorado Avalanche.

After their preseason win against Colorado, the team tweeted how they know had more wins than storied NFL franchises like the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys right now. However, a Montreal Canadiens fan entered the conversation and said that was 22 less than the number of Stanley Cups the Canadiens have.

The Golden Knights Twitter had a fantastic response to the comment. Talking about how those two wins are more than the amount of Stanley Cups the Habs have won since ’93. Now that’s how you gain fans entering the league in your first year of existence.

Which in turn brought the Canadiens account out of nowhere to point out that the Golden Knights should relax considering it’s only preseason and it doesn’t count.

Then, the Golden Knights came back with the roasting of the entire season, and they said something we all want to say to Canadiens’ fans.

Check out the confrontation below:

I can tell you right now; this had to please the fans not only of the Golden Knights but fans around the National Hockey League also. Fans around the NHL know that the Canadiens won the most Stanley Cups in league history. So, other teams, fans have heard enough about how much the Habs have won, and couldn’t agree more with what the Vegas Golden Knights twitter account had to say.

Next: The Vegas Golden Knights convincingly win their first two preseason games.

Could this be the start of a new rivalry? Probably unlikely since the Habs are in the Eastern Conference. But here are a few dates to circle on the calendar, 11/7 and 2/17. Those are the dates that the Golden Knights and Canadiens will clash. We’ll see if their Twitter accounts will go for round two very shortly.
