The NHL released every team’s home openers today, and it appears the Vegas Golden Knights will start on the road.

The time is here Vegas Golden Knights fans. Tonight is going to be the most exciting night in franchise history. The fans should soak in the expansion draft as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for any new team that’s just entering the league.

Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee has made quite a few side deals already to accumulate as many draft picks and prospects as possible. Those deals will be announced later tonight, or tomorrow afternoon I’m assuming. But the NHL came down with a bit of news today distracting us from the expansion draft for a brief period.

Today, the NHL announced the home opener of all 31 clubs to the public. The first-ever Golden Knights game will take place at American Airlines Center as Vegas takes on the Dallas Stars on October 6th. The very next day, the team will retake a trip to the desert but not their desert.

Instead, the Golden Knights will face their new division rivals in Arizona as they take on the Arizona Coyotes. But just three days later is the big extravaganza. On October 10th, T-Mobile Arena will open its doors for the inaugural regular season home opener.

Just think about all the pre-game festivities going on around T-Mobile Arena. Most certainly they’ll have a rather lengthy pregame ceremony and mascot unveiling I’m sure. The NHL will release the full schedule tomorrow in the afternoon hours, so keep an eye out for that. Can you believe we’re even talking about this? Four years ago we sure weren’t!

The team constructed by McPhee will be tough to play against every night. He even promised that to his fans. And as all the reports are coming in as we speak, we’re not going to have a bad team at all.
