Join FanSided in Welcoming Hockey To Las Vegas

Professional sports has made it to Las Vegas, and the National Hockey League is first!  Join our team of writers today as we explore the world of Las Vegas hockey!

FanSided is always there for our sports teams, and that is no different when it comes to new and exciting ventures.  Now that the NHL has officially announced that professional hockey will be coming to Las Vegas – we want to be there every step of the way following the team.

There will be plenty of news stories, plenty of adventures!  Certainly we need to name the team, expansion draft, NHL Draft, and free agency will be first on the list of things that the hockey department in Las Vegas will be handling.

There are a lot of people that will be watching this team – hoping for its overall success.

Welcome to the NHL Las Vegas!

Expectations for Writers

We like to let our staff write about the aspects of the team they are most passionate about. There’s room for those interested in covering any aspect of the Twins. Maybe you’re more of a recruiting junkie and you want to talk about the impact a new signing or trade could have. Or even just chipping in on game previews, roundtable discussions on staff about how the team should approach the offseason or whether a big move is needed to get them back on top, or helping with a number of other potential story ideas there could be a place for you here on the team.

Writers are asked to contribute 1-2 posts per week. We’ll always welcome more frequent contributions than that, but we won’t require it.

We know that for most this is mostly a hobby and something you do for the love of it. That’s why we do it too, as most of us have families, full-time careers, and/or school to balance into our lives as well (there’s room for things besides sports, right?). This is an opportunity to join a staff of writers here who are just simply passionate about Las Vegas hockey as we are and want to continue to reach the rest of this great fan base.

Our site experts (i.e. editors) are asked to focus their efforts on building a vibrant community environment around their sites, while providing readers with fresh daily content.
You’re given the freedom to run the site as you see fit from an editorial standpoint. We want our editors to be viewed as experts on their respective teams/schools/topics and we want to ensure that we’re offering readers a healthy mix of news and opinionated analysis. Providing something folks can’t read elsewhere is the key. We offer plenty of advice, guidance, and support but it will ultimately be up to you (and your co-editor, where applicable) to decide how to strategize your content efforts.

If you have any questions – please reach out to either kyle.franzoni@fansided.com or timothy.redinger@fansided.com.  We will be more than glad to answer any questions and help you out along the way.
