Vegas Golden Knights: An early look ahead to the 2020 NHL Entry Draft

We may be midway through November but there is already plenty of talk about the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, which could be a big one for the Vegas Golden Knights.

It is hardly a secret that the most successful teams, in any sport, build through the draft and then add supplementary pieces via trade or free agency, and the Vegas Golden Knights are aware how important it is to keep the farm system stocked up with talent.

They did exactly that during the 2019 NHL Entry Draft when they replenished the pipeline with no less than eight high-end prospects, including projected top six forward Peyton Krebs and highly regarded stay-at-home defenseman Kaedan Korczak.

And they are seeing the fruits of their labor play out this year with Cody Glass, the No.6 overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, flourish in his rookie year in the National Hockey League this year with three goals and four assists for seven points.

Despite the fact that we are in the thick of the season, Front Office executives and scouting departments will already be busy assessing and evaluating the prospects that will be available in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

The Golden Knights will have a pick in the first round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, two in rounds two and three, in addition to one selection in rounds five, six and seven.

So, with plenty of draft experts already doing their homework ahead of the Draft next June in Montreal, we have taken a look at some of the most exciting prospects that will be available…
