We are launching a brand new weekly feature today where we will catch you up on the latest Vegas Golden Knights news, as well as what is going on around the rest of the NHL.

We are into the dog days of the summer now and the offseason is in full swing, meaning that talking points and hot topics are at a premium for Vegas Golden Knights.

However, there has been some Knights news to consume this week and we’ll round that up in one handy place for you below.

We’ll also have a brief look at what has been happening in the NHL over the last few days, thanks to our brilliant hockey sites on the FanSided network.

We will aim to get this feature out once a week during the offseason and then twice a week throughout 2019-20.

Vegas Golden Knights News

– We began the week by speaking to Jesse Granger of The Athletic, who does an excellent job of covering the Vegas Golden Knights. In our conversation a lot of topics were included, ranging from the latest on the Nikita Gusev situation to what prospects impressed in Development Camp.

– Speaking of Nikita Gusev, he is the main topic of the offseason for the Golden Knights and we did a deep dive on what the franchise might have to give up in order to re-sign the Russian stud.

– There was some contract news on Tuesday as Vegas re-signed rookie Jake Bischoff to a three-year contract with an average annual value of $716,667. You can read our take on the deal here.

– The Vegas Golden Knights have made a habit of putting smiles on fans’ faces with their superb play on the ice, but they will also be making one special fan very happy indeed today. Find out why here.

– The Vegas Golden Knights announced that they will be running their hugely successful road trip for the third straight year. Zach Whitecloud, Jake Bischoff, Cody Glass, Nic Hague and Deryk Engelland will be joining the trip and will be making stops in Idaho Falls, Billings, Casper and St. George.
