It will arguably be the toughest test of 2019-20 so far for the Vegas Golden Knights when they go toe-to-toe with last year’s Stanley Cup finalists the Boston Bruins at T-Mobile Arena tonight (7:00 p.m. PT).

In what is an eagerly anticipated encounter between two teams who have both started the new season 2-0-0, the Vegas Golden Knights will see this matchup as a real litmus test against a fellow Stanley Cup contender and one of the best teams in hockey.

But it is tough to predict what kind of game will be played out between the franchises tonight. After all, the Knights absolutely beat up on the San Jose Sharks after outscoring them 9-2 in their home-and-home double-header, while the Bruins have scored just three goals in their two wins while conceding just one.

However, it is only a matter of time until that dynamic top line of Boston’s, featuring Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak, explodes into life and the Vegas blueline will need to be on top of their game tonight.

And the Golden Knights’ plethora of offensive riches will also need to be sharp and on top of their game given that they will be coming up against Tuukka Rask, who stopped 28 of 29 shots in the season opening win against the Dallas Stars last week.

Overall, it should be an absolute gigantic tussle between two red-hot Stanley Cup contenders and the game will act as a good measuring stick for both teams who still have plenty of kinks to iron out before delving deeper into the NHL schedule.

It will be a tough test for the Vegas Golden Knights and here are the three keys to a third straight win in 2019-20…
